Exercise?  You must be joking.  Chasing my children and running errands all day is enough exercise for me.  Fad diets?  They come and go.  I never get into them, mainly because I already know what works for me to lose weight.  However, that doesn’t stop me from creating boards on Pinterest to convince myself that I will one day follow a fad diet.  A couple of years ago I limited my calories to 1200 a day and committed to walking 2-3 times a week and it worked.  Now, I am unable to keep that same program because my kids outgrew the stroller and they certainly won’t walk for as long as I did back in the day.

I have decided to try a new program, completely created by me, and I want to document it for two reasons: 1) To keep myself accountable on my quest for a more healthy body. 2) To encourage other mothers out there, that may want to get in shape and are like me, who can’t afford a gym membership.  My idea to begin at a slow pace is to add dance to everything that I can.  I used to love to dance, but I don’t dance much anymore.  I will dance when I make my coffee.  I will dance when I fix breakfast.  I will dance when I take walks with my son, that usually end up very short.  I will dance when I unload the dishwasher (and add some squats as well).  I have tons of Pinterest boards with strength exercises to do in the home, even some with the kids participating.  Have I looked at any?  Of course not!  But I will.  I have no clue if this new program is going to work for me, but I still want to give it a try.  Intrigued? Ready to follow along?  Once I reach 50 followers, I will share a video of my journey.  It may be a dance party with my kids.  It may be a walk with my son.  It may be a choreographed routine to thank you all for following. My goal is to post an update every Thursday, before my routine momofsorts blog on Saturdays.  Please follow me moms.  I’m ready to momercise.
